Every November, in honor of National Adoption Month,<\/a>
\nAdoption Network Law Center (ANLC) asks hopeful Adopting Parents to share their
\nstories of what led them to adoption.\u00a0 Adoption Network Law Center reviews
\nall of the stories and selects one family to receive pro bono ANLC services.<\/a>\u00a0 Today, on National Adoption Day, ANLC is
\nexcited to announce that this year\u2019s recipients of pro bono services are
\nCharles and Alyssa.<\/p>\n

Charles and Alyssa have been married for 7 years.\u00a0 At
\n14, Charles went through chemotherapy and radiation treatment for Hodgkin\u2019s<\/a>
\ndisease.\u00a0 While thankful that these treatments saved his life, Charles and
\nAlyssa were heartbroken to find that they would not be able to conceive a child
\nnaturally.\u00a0 However, for Charles and Alyssa, adoption is not a \u201csecond
\nchoice.\u201d\u00a0 Both of their families have a history and heart for
\nadoption.\u00a0 Charles\u2019 father and 13 siblings were in the foster care system
\nfor years before they found their forever family and Alyssa\u2019s family has 4
\nadopted children!\u00a0 Charles and Alyssa state that \u201cIt is our heart to not
\njust have a family, but to show a precious child they are loved beyond measure,
\nthey can change the world with their dreams, and to give them hope for the
\nbeautiful future God has for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the 6th year Adoption Network Law Center has provided pro
\nbono services to one family in honor of National Adoption Month.\u00a0 \u201cIt is
\nsuch an honor for Adoption Network Law Center to give back to the adoption
\ncommunity and raise adoption awareness in this way.\u201d stated Kristin A.F.
\nYellin, Chief Counsel of Adoption Network Law Center.\u00a0 \u201c<\/span>The entire staff
\nis excited to start this journey with Charles and Alyssa and will be with them
\nevery step until they welcome their son or daughter into their hearts and home.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

November has been celebrated as National Adoption Month since 1995 to build
\nawareness of adoption in the U.S., funded by the Children’s Bureau<\/a>.<\/div>\n
